I am Divorced!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have been waiting for the paperwork and desided to check the public records for the state.

On the afternoon of the 4th I turned the signed documents into my lawyer she was out of the office and would mail them on the 5th.

On the 6th of May the documents were filed and on the 7th of May the judgement/order was entered and the case was closed!!!!!!

So now I just have to wait for the stamped/filed documents so I can make some changes to insurance and that kind of thing BUT. It is done!!!

Start to finish it could have taken a week IF I would have had my act together.

Yesterday MY EX HUSBAND, heheheheh; found out that there was a mistake with his school housing and now instead of the $500 rate he is going to have to rent an apartment. He thought he was getting his own room but sharing a commons cooking/living area. Found out when he was filling out the housing forms that he would have been sharing a room. I suppose that is unexceptable for a 41 year old male. So now as soon as the house sells he is going to be moving so he can get an apartment lined up asap. Which of course means I am left figuring out daycare for this summer. It is too late for the school program BUT I think that everything will work out. Maybe Little guy is meant to switch day care provider now, It is sometimes easier to keep what you have BUT there is a different program that is more expensive than I am paying now BUT I think I like that it is more flexable and I believe it would be available for no school days.

Who knows maybe we will not sell the house until right before school starts or not until next summer and I will not have to worry about summer school. (XH cant move until house sells or school starts because he doesn't he needs the proceeds or financial aid to pay for housing).

    Congratulations - sounds like your divorce is far less messy and painful than mine was, but divorce is still hard. You have a good attitude and I wish you and your son the best. Take care.

    i am at a loss for words. I have seen how divorces mess up the little children and i hope that your child doesn't have to go through what many have had to

    Ms.Mom, You have been through alot recently. I am glad that yr. divorce went through quickly. Sorry if this sounds too personal... but, have you been able to talk to someone about all that you have been dealing with? Hope that you have someone to share with. Hope that your house sells soon. You have been really nice about yr. ex- husband. You are not responsible for his choices. He will have to learn that you don't have to take care of him. You have a little boy to take care of.,and yourself. I wish you the best, and hope that you havehappiness soon...

    I was updating my friends list on facebook. And I added my old babysitter. She has an opening this summer for a school aged student. I had deleted my account back in January because I had a friend of my husbands on it and he is so negative and so I found myself being dragged down into his negativity. So I just deleted my account. Well about a month later a created a NEW positive account and so I am now still working on fixing my friend list. Well I dont know why I forgot to add her back on. But she is on now and She is a single mommy too.

    So I have faith everything will workout.

    Congratulations! Just a thought about your little one. If you can keep some things the same for him for a while it might ease the stress for you child. Staying in the house or staying at the same daycare or going back to an old known babysitter might be best for him.

    Wow, that was "FAST"! I'm sure you wanted it done even faster, but I know a couple people divorcing and it takes forever here. One couple started the process MONTHS ago, there's nothing being contested at all, but no end in sight. Sure wish my brother could get this done as fast as you did. He just started the process and just can't get her out of his life quick enough. Frown
